Brought my mother-in-law’s 2002 Toyota Camry with just 94,000 miles in for some needed service requests including cleaning of the throttle body. Made an appointment with them to leave the vehicle on a Thursday and pick up the following Wednesday. The car had been sitting for the better part of a year, and also needed an oil change, a radiator flush and fill, as well as an overall vehicle status update. It had been running rough and sluggish after a recent battery change that required a “relearning” of electronic codes. I had plans to buy this vehicle, and eventually give to my granddaughter as her first vehicle. It was indicated that if they found anything significant, I would receive a call before any work would be done. On Tuesday I had not received a call, so I had to call for an update. Was told the car would not be ready. So, indicated we were going to be gone for ten days, so that would give them plenty of time to work on the vehicle. After two weeks, I had to call again for an update. Told them I was coming in the following Monday to pick up the vehicle no matter what. I was given a service request authorization to do a radiator flush and fill that I had already requested. W

Dustin and the crew helped get my '98 Silverado back up to daily driver after she sat for bit after blowing a freeze plug on passenger side. Letting it sit led to theft mode issue but they repaired that too. If you need someone you can trust to fix your vehicle who is honest and fair in pricing you should Performance Transmissions. Glad I found them 5 years ago when we moved to Gainesville from Marion County.

Great place for your car's regular maintenance and repairs. Dustin is very knowledgeable and has great mechanics on staff. Office staff are helpful and kind.

I booked an appointment to get a second opinion on my brakes and rotors after getting them checked at Tire Kingdom. The staff here checked in on my brakes and cleared me. (Tire Kingdom quoted me 1,000’s) Colleen is amazing!! She’s so patient and makes sure you can understand exactly what the process is for everything. They are incredibly honest and you can really tell they are down to earth. They even have a drop off and pick up for when you can’t make it after hours! I will definitely be coming back if I have any other issues with my car! Thank you guys!!

They massively overcharge on parts, at least a 75% up charge. They also will not allow you to supply your own parts. They massively over quote on labor hours as well, turning a simple job that shouldn’t be any more than $1000 into over $1,800. They’ll force you to do all of the work they recommend, even if you tell them you do not need it. You’ll be stuck with a $90 “diagnosis” fee, even if the issue was already diagnosed and they’re attempting to over-complicate the job. The service writer lady that answers calls is also condescending and evidently needs to brush up on her social skills. Beware of this shop, they will attempt to gouge you. Very dishonest. They also left the car unlocked overnight, completely unsecured out front of the shop. Extremely unprofessional.
